On May 19, 2005 30 members of the Louisville Chapter of the GE Elfuns exercised their collective green thumb by weeding, landscaping, planting flowers, and constructing a greenhouse on the Boys’ Haven campus. Boys’ Haven wishes to thank Team Leader, Tony Green, and all the generous volunteers on this project. And we should mention that our very own Board member, Bob Clark, was part of the team!
The Louisville Chapter, headed by President, Christy Smith, currently has 1,100 members and has been doing volunteer work in our community for 25 years. The Louisville Chapter handles about 20 community service projects a year. In 2004, they put in 12,000 hours of work, benefiting 56,000 people in the Metro Louisville area.
The GE Elfun Society is a volunteer organization for GE employees and retirees. Elfuns, we appreciate your hard work.
