On Thursday, May 12, 2005 Heather French Henry was presented the Father James Maloney Community Service Award at Boys' Haven's Annual Appreciation dinner.

The daughter of a disabled Vietnam veteran, after winning the title of Miss America 2000, Ms. Henry traveled over 300,000 miles across the United States on a national speaking tour entitled "Our Forgotten Heroes: Honoring Our Nations Homeless Veterans." As volunteer for Boys' Haven, Ms. Henry has narrated television commercial's highlighting Boys' Haven work with homeless young adults. Ms. Henry is the author and illustrator of delightful children's books.
