Cindy Wise lives the volunteer spirit. “I need to contribute something back to the community. Louisville’s been very nice to me,” the Indianapolis, IN native and Boys and Girls Haven trustee says.
Youngsters are her focus. The mother of two adopted children, Ms. Wise has donated her time and talents at Louisville’s Home of the Innocents and Big Brothers-Big Sisters and has served meals and cleaned tables at Kids Café, a church-run program that feeds needy children.
Cindy is currently Vice President of Business Development for Quorum Health Resources. She worked for Humana for 26 years, most recently in the position of Director of Sales. She is a member of the Louisville Employee Benefits Council and the Greater Louisville Association of Health Underwriters. She has a Bachelor’s Degree in Business from Hanover College, Hanover, IN.
“It frustrates me when I see adults try to come into our workforce who don’t fit. I see what employers want in employees,” says Ms. Wise, who wants to help our young men and women develop social skills and cultivate good employment strategies. “For the most part, they can’t articulate and they feel like outcasts. They don’t always understand how they fit into the bigger picture.”
