Board member Tim Findley is a busy man. But after visiting Boys and Girls Haven for the first time, he was hooked on serving. “Boys and Girls Haven seemed like such a worthy cause,” he said.
Also impressed with Boys and Girls Haven’s percentage of minority youth and minority employees, he reasoned that we needed a Black board member. “Diversity is a good thing. It promotes open thinking,” he says.
Mr. Findley is Manager of Capital Assets/Support Services at Louisville’s Norton Healthcare. Before that, he was a commercial agent for Fenley Real Estate, and a manager of information systems, of procurement services and of real estate and right-of-way for such well-known companies as Humana, LG&E and Capital Holding. Additionally, he is an adjunct instructor at Sullivan University, Spalding University and Jefferson Community College. He also works with the Christian Education department of St. Stephen Church.
He has a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management from the University of Louisville, an Associate Degree in Theology from Aenon Bible College in Indianapolis, IN, and an MBA from Webster University.
Besides the Boys and Girls Haven Board, Mr. Findley has served on the boards of Volunteers of America, Kentucky Industries for the Blind and the Louisville Central Community Center. “I’m proud to be associated with Boys and Girls Haven,” he says. “We’ve got a really good donor base and some really wise people on the board.
