Boys and Girls Haven Announces New Executive Director

The Board of Trustees of Boys and Girls Haven is pleased to announce that they have selected Jeff Hadley as their new Executive Director and Chief Executive Officer effective July 1, 2010. Jeff developed and is currently the director of a community-based treatment program at Home of the Innocents in Louisville.

Mr. Hadley holds a B.S. in Psychology from Centre College in Danville, Kentucky as well as an MBA from the University of Louisville. Before joining Home of the Innocents in 1998, he supervised a 75 bed facility for Three Springs, a Wilderness Treatment Program, in Blue Ridge, Georgia.

Mr. Hadley stated, “I’m honored to be selected to continue the mission and vision of Boys and Girls Haven. I look forward to building on our leadership in enabling youth to dream, aspire, and realize their potential while advancing the future of our community.”

As announced in February 2010, Vernon C. Rickert, Jr. will be leaving Boys and Girls Haven after his seven-year tenure to focus on private practice. During this tenure, Mr. Rickert increased the client base at Boys and Girls Haven from 60 to approximately 350 disadvantaged and abused youth.

“The Board cannot express, in words, our appreciation to Vern for providing the vision and leadership over the last seven years that has both laid the foundation for a secure organization and, at the same time, kept our Board focused on the real task at hand – making a difference in the lives of young men and women. Our appreciation to Vern is equaled by our enthusiasm for our future under the leadership of Jeff Hadley. Jeff’s passion for youth and his passion for team building are well known to all. We are very are lucky to have him on our team,” stated Mark Morrison, Chair, Board of Directors
