Vernon C. Rickert, Jr. announced that he will be leaving Boys and Girls Haven on July 1, after seven years as Executive Director, to focus on private practice. Under his leadership, Mr. Rickert has increased the client base from 60 to approximately 350 disadvantaged and abused youth, establishing a network of twelve programs to continue sheltering, healing and teaching young people to become contributing members of our community.



Mr. Rickert has graciously agreed to assist in our search for his replacement and to assist during a transition period. We will miss Vern and hope his new challenge keeps him in our community. He leaves a successfully expanded organization with a strong staff that has a record of putting 75% of our clients on the right track last year.



We know you join us in wishing him continuing success in the future. There will be opportunities for you to show Mr. Rickert your appreciation before he goes. A contribution to the 60th Anniversary Fund Campaign in Vern’s honor is always an excellent choice.
