Social work professional and board member of Louisville’s Center for Nonprofit Excellence, Steve Bogus became a Boys and Girls Haven trustee in 1998. He currently serves as chairman of the Program Committee.
Mr. Bogus is Executive Director of Catholic Charities of Louisville, where he oversees an million budget and a variety of programs, including Migration and Refugee Services and Long-term Care Ombudsman.
A Wyoming native who moved to Louisville in 1995, he received a Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work from the University of Wyoming and a Master’s in Social Work from Our Lady of the Lake University in San Antonio, TX. Mr. Bogus is president of the Arcadia Neighborhood Community Center Board and a member of the Citizens’ Advisory Council for Bridges of Hope Neighborhood Place. He is a former board member of the national Council on Accreditation (COA), an accrediting body for social service agencies.
“My hope is that Boys and Girls Haven will grow into being the best it can possibly be,” he says. “Diversification of programs is the key.”
