The Archbishop of Louisville, The Most Reverend Joseph E. Kurtz, visited Boys Haven on Friday, May 9th.

Archbishop Kurtz met with board chair, Martha Diebold; board member, Ron Mazzoli; Jim Grote, Director of Development and Executive Director, Vern Rickert. The Archbishop was then taken on a tour of Dempsey cottage by one of the residents.

The Archbishop is very familiar with the evolution of our services since he lead a similar transition program when he was Director of Catholic Charities. As it turns out, Vern and the Archbishop have a lot in common since the Archbishop is not only a social worker but a marrage and family therapist as well.
